Galatée has been a chief wine maker, consultant and wine critics for the past 15 years in France on the most famous French "terroir".
Galatée's family has been making or selling wine in France since 1830. Her great great grandfather developed a passion for the highest quality wines and since then, her family has remained at the forefront of developments in the wine world.
Immersed in the culture of wine from an early age, Galatée Faivre quickly developed a creative sensivity and interest in oenology; always wanting to identify the qualities that make a remarkable wine; remarkable.
Through her career, her professional oenophile's ability in wine selection has allowed her to travel the world; she has been consulted on which Grands Crus to complement the signature dishes of the World's best chefs and has developed niche wine markets in Europe and Asia.
She created ID Vin in 2002 as a marketing consultancy dedicated to French wines. She studies the unique characteristics of many
French vignobles and their produce in order to bring them to appreciative and discerning new markets.
Galatée has always been driven by her desire to understand what a great wine is, how the "divine" can be the origin of its balance.
That is how she concluded that the correlation between Men and Nature is fragile but essential. Her book DIVINE IVRESSE is the reflection of its spritual work
and explains in a lighthearted way how divine wine can be.
Recently, her lifelong journey through the wine world led her to create, GALATEE - Divine Ivresse, a painstakingly selected collection of french wines, a showcase divinely constructed only for those who truly appreciate what nature and man can produce from the ancient vine.
